Fourteen-year-old to begin classes at MSSU this fall

Scott Thuong, 14, Joplin, will begin classes at Missouri Southern State University this fall. This isn't just one of these deals where students attend high school and take a few college classes at the same time.
Thuong has already graduated from high school and is ready to begin working toward a career as a college math professor.

The Joplin Daily had his story when he joined the Honors program at MSSU.
His dad is a math professor at MSSU.
He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia extension school, but also took classes at Thomas Jefferson.

The story was posted on the Missouri Southern website before it appeared in "The Joplin Daily."

Sorry, I didn't happen to see it on either of those sources, but it caught my eye as I was surfing the net this weekend.

Where is the kid's childhood? What a waste of youth! I hope the kid can speak English better than his father. I took a class from him and had to drop it because he couldn't speak the language clear enough to understand him.
