The contributions by U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., were part of a nearly $48,000 blast of campaign money poured into Foley's re-election campaign by House Republicans through the summer - after some Republicans in Congress claim the two ranking House GOP leaders had been told of the problem that now has led to Foley's resignation.

Once again, I fail to see JoplinDaily.com living up to its motto, "All Joplin All The Time." There is a realtime story on the site today about governor Blunt thanking law enforcement officials for the safe return of baby Abby. When the Amber Alert was in effect, then yes, run a story and get that information out there so people can be on the lookout. This follow up story, however, lacks any importance to anybody in Joplin.
The corrupt conservatives are up to it again. With Foley being exposed, his attorney came out yesterday to say Foley was molested as a teenager. All this constitutes is making excuses for some disgusting acts Foley engaged in. The Republican argument for his actions has turned to, "He's not a bad person, he did it because he was molested when he was younger." I swear, how in the world did we give conservatives all the power?
We were once stupid but hopefully we have seen the truth to long for these people to be re-elected.
It's time to be thinking of each of us NOT in office and ask 'what have they done for US lately'?
