Only 27 days are left before the state of Missouri tosses all campaign contribution limits, but it appears the wrangling over the seven-month period in 2007 when the wild west approach to fundraising was tried is still a sticking point for the Missouri Ethics Commission.
The Commission is scheduled to discuss the Supreme Court ruling in Trout vs. State of Missouri, which reinstated campaign contribution limits, when it holds an open teleconference meeting at 8 a.m. today.
The agenda indicates the discussion will be followed by a closed session.
The Commission may be deciding the fate of the remaining candidates who claimed hardship and asked to be excused from returning contributions that were over the limit.
