KIX 102.5's brand of country music ruled the airwaves in Joplin, according to the spring Arbitron ratings, which were released Thursday, only this time the lead was not quite as big as it has been in the past.
The Zimmer Radio station found itself challenged by one of its sister stations, KSYN, 92.5. KIX registered a 12.1, down from 14.6 in the fall 2007 survey, while KSYN jumped from 7.3 to 11.0.
Following the top two were two more Zimmer stations, KJMK-FM, which recorded an 8.1, down from 8.4, and 97.9, Big Dog, KXDG, which scored 6.9, up from 6.7. The rest of the top 10 were:
