Only one person, Deborah Gould, has filed for Joplin R-8 Board of Education. Filing opened this week.
Voters will select three board members. The incumbents are Lynda Banwart and Debbie Fort, who were elected in 2014, and Chris Sloan, who was elected to a one-year unexpired term in April.
