Arraignment set for Sarcoxie teacher charged with sex with a student, Phil Glades signs on as attorney

When Sarcoxie High School English teacher Baylee Turner is arraigned 9 a.m.Wednesday before Judge Joseph Hensley in Jasper County Circuit Court on a felony charge of sexual contact with a student, she will be represented by Joplin attorney Phil Glades, according to online court documents.

Turner, 23, Carthage, who was in her third year with the R-2 School District, allegedly had sex with a student at her home sometime between January 14 and January 21, according to the probable cause statement.

Turner resigned February 12 and the R-2 Board of Education accepted her resignation the following day. District officials indicate they are working to have her teaching license revoked.

Turner is free after posting $1,000 bond.

Her Bond is actually 10,000 but the judge in the case msde it a 10% to the court bond that removes the gaurantee she will be returned by a bondsman if she doesnt appear. I bet if this was a man on a RAPE CASE, the bond would be either much higher or cash only?

You are correct. There always has been, and probably always will be, a gender bias in favor of females in America's judicial system.

With him as her lawyer she'll never pay the time for the crime. Sick. Why are all these women messing with these kids lately?
