Victoria's Secret, Old Navy, Foot Locker announce store closings, no word on whether Northpark Mall stores to close

Three major retail chains with stores in Joplin's Northpark Mall- Victoria's Secret, The Gap (Old Navy), and Foot Locker have announced they are closing numerous locations this year.

At this point, no lists have been released of locations that will be affected.

The announcements come in the wake of last week's announcement of the closure of JC Penney outlets and earlier announced closings of Sears stores.








None of Northpark Mall's stores have been affected by the closings as of yet.

According to media reports, Victoria's Secret is closing 53 stores, The Gap 230 stores over the next two years and Foot Locker 165 stores.
