Hartzler: There's no place for anti-Semitism, insensitivity in Congress

(From Fourth District Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler)

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) today supported H. Res. 183, a House resolution that condemns the anti-Semitism associated with recent remarks made by Rep. IIhan Omar (MN-05), a freshman Democrat from Minnesota.

This is the second time in sixty-four days that the House has been forced to vote on a measure condemning anti-Semitism due to remarks by a member of the Democrat majority.

“Over the past two months we have had to come to the House floor twice to denounce anti-Semitism due to actions by Democrats in Congress,” said Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler.

“There is no place for this type of insensitivity in Congress and it is a shame that we even need to have a resolution to proclaim this fact. Support for Israel and the Jewish people is fundamental to our democratic ideals, and respect for all people should be the hallmark of this legislative body. Instead of addressing issues like jobs, education and healthcare, we are forced to spend time reaffirming what should be a basic principle of respect in Congress,” added Hartzler.

This past weekend, Rep. Omar doubled down on comments she had made at an event last week, saying that pro-Israel supporters have “allegiance to a foreign country.” Earlier this year, she also suggested on Twitter that pro-Israel groups were paying off lawmakers to shape U.S.-Middle East policy, saying “It’s all about the Benjamins baby.” These actions led to floor action repudiating her positions.

“America does not need another apology or House resolution – it needs to know anti-Semitism won’t be tolerated. Speaker Pelosi must remove Rep. IIhan Omar from her influential post on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. It is evident that the Congresswoman’s deep bias compromises her positions, and if Democrat leadership is truly taking this seriously, Rep. Omar will be removed from this important assignment.

“These continuous comments by Rep. Omar come on the heels of other extreme proposals that have been introduced by the Democrat majority in Congress, including government-run health care, the radical Green New Deal, and a government take-over of our election system. Speaker Pelosi seems intent on ramming through a radical socialist agenda instead of looking for bipartisan opportunities to work together. I will continue to oppose these radical efforts, while working for the good of our country and the district I represent. I invite House Democrats to come alongside me and do the same,” added Hartzler.

Through their hatred of Trump, the Democratic Party has aligned themselves with extreme anti-american radicals whose only goal is to destroy our government and way of life from within.
I hope they will all see through this faced and reunite as the true democratic party of old. If they do not, they will lose complete control.
The freshmen dems are going after every part of our government. They show no respect for Pelosi or even former President Obama.
What a sad state of affairs for this country.
As a former Democrat I am sickened and saddened by their actions.

Any Dems want to comment on this? Thought not.

Extreme anti-American radicals that wish to destroy our government and way of life within? What a load of bs, I assume you’re speaking of one freshman congresswoman that was duly elected, that doesn’t represent anyone other than the people that voted for her. I’m glad you’re a “former” Democrat if you support a party that elected a conman that supports Russian views instead of the US intelligence agencies. Too bad the US lost the long held view that Russia and North Korea were adversaries, and that NATO were allies, just because one idiot sold it to a gullible electorate that wants to MAGA. At no time in American history have we turned on friends and embraced enemies under one administration so foul which was elected by a minority of voters. It truly is sickening.

Your lack of common sense and knowledge is astounding.

What is astounding is the US along with Nicaragua, and Syria are the only nations in the world to refute climate change by refusing to address it at all.

12:55, you are aware in the Senate there are only nine practicing Jewish Americans. All are Democrats, including Schumer, Feinstein, Bernie Sanders and others, but no Republican Party practicing Jews. Are you accusing Jewish Americans of anti-semitism? What in the world are you talking about, your assertion is demonstrably false. If you’re accusing these Jewish Americans of attacking Jews, then you are wrong on so many levels. Here’s a project for your idle mind, make a list of Republican Jewish members serving in the US Congress, I’ll be waiting for your response...

So, what part 0ff 12:55s post is offbase shows a lack of common sense or knowledge?

Here is something for your over active mind, name the number of current Republicans who continue to make antisemitic comments. The. Name all the Republicans who incorporate beliefs that flow straight from from Marx? Now do the same thing with Democrats. Let's see honest you are.

By the way, Sanders is an Independent.

5:25, How about Trump saying to a room of Jewish Republicans (they do exist) “You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money” adding “you want to control your politicians, that’s fine”. That’s one example of anti-semitism, even if you don’t recognize it, as you probably don’t recognize socialist programs in the US. The US military is the largest funded socialist program in the world. Funded by tax dollars, and protecting all, from the richest to the poorest Americans. You are unaware that the national highway system (taxpayer funded) was created by Eisenhower, a Republican president.

Other examples of socialism in the US include: public libraries, police, fire departments, postal service, student loans and grants, bridges, garbage collection, public landfills, war, farm subsidies, CIA, FBI, Congressional Health Care, EPA, Social Security, Public Schools, Jails/Prisons, Corporate subsidies, VA healthcare, public parks, Medicare, IRS, and any government agencies funded by taxpayer dollars. So you see you are a socialist too, if you have ever benefitted fro any of these programs whether you know that or not. You do understand Sanders ran two years ago under the Democratic primary, so he doesn’t sound very independent.

Sugar, Marxism was the topic not socialism. Read up, there's a difference.

Sanders may have ran under the Green Party for all I care, but the fact is he calls himself and is listed as Independent. If he thinks he is Independent then who am I or you to tell him he isn't? I mean, it isn't like there is scientific evidence showing that he is a Democrat. He is free to be who he wants to be.

Ilhan Omar and the Democrats inability to single her or her not so veiled hatred for Jews... rant on that and tell us how it is just a big misunderstanding, Soft Spot.

7:26, I know the difference, glad you don’t contest the fact that socialism exists in the US, as far as your Marxism comment there are no Democrats embracing it. There is no Marxism in the US. Omar speaks for herself and those that elected her, not the Democrats. Pull out the Democratic policies, nothing about Marxism. Does Trump speak for you and Republicans with his anti-Semitic remarks quoted since not one Republican has singled him out for that. The party with no Jewish Senators, calls the party with nine members anti-Semitic, that is ignorance squared. Sanders ran on the Democratic ticket in 2016, although I doubt you can remember yesterday, much less 2016. By all means, keep up the name calling, it magnifies your ignorance for all to see.

Hey Peaches, so what is the difference between socialism and Marxism? Let's simplify it for you, socialism uses capitalism to finance itself. Marxism takes socialism a step further and looks to crush corporations once its programs are up and running. I will stop there and let you absorb that kindergarten explanation and how it relates to healthcare and insurance companies. Then I will let you explain the growing dislike in the Democrat circles for corporations. Rant on, Sugar.

You are somewhat thick. You keep trying to hang Trump and Republican on me. Going so far so to confusing me with the Republican party by saying that I promised you a healthcare bill of some kind before I was even in school. Anyway, if your precious party allows Omar and Governor Northram to remain in their positions then the party itself is condoning the actions and statements. Just food for thought next time you feel pious when voting for that blue donkey, Candy.

4:37, your nicknames for others along with your self admitted kindergarten explanation of Democratic socialism vs Marxism identifies you as a child or an adult that never developed critical thinking. You falsely claim Democratic ideals are to crush corporations with zero evidence of any such idea. There is no mention in this thread that I accused you of failure to provide healthcare, although I did accuse the GOP of such after false promises of a better plan for over 20 years with no results. Omar and Northam speak for themselves, kind of the way the Republican racists, Steve King and Donald Trump do for themselves. You get rid of them and we will follow suit. If you are not Republican or Democratic, then you are pissing your vote away idiot. As for my feeling pious, it doesn’t occur, remember I’m a godless Democrat according to Hartzler so that could never occur. Just try to remember next time you vote, vote for Bernie Sanders, so you can prove you’re not an antisemite.

*slow clap*

Madonna, you keep pointing out how childish my comments are, yet you continue to argue with them. Why? A person who would waste time arguing with someone who they deem intellectually incompetent only shows what an insecure person you are. Trying to show the world that you are smarter than someone whom you say is a "child". What does that say about you that you argue with children to show everyone how smart you are?

6:14, when you present facts to dispute ridiculous assertions by the ill informed, you hope to educate them and hope they learn that saying stupid things in public is probably not a good idea. The comments I gave were toward that end, but it’s obvious that your learning ability is remedial, but you certainly can’t call me impatient. To end, the Democrats with 9 Jewish Senators are not anti-Semitic, the Republicans with 0 Jewish Senator, cannot say such nonsense with any credibility at all. Vote Bernie Sanders to prove you’re not anti-Semitic if you vote at all.

The beauty of "trigger words" is that once spoken evoke an emotional response. We all seem to have found the appropriate "trigger words" for each other. Well, the next step is to choose up sides and go to war with each other. Then we can gleefully kill each other until whoever is left can claim God was on their side and do whatever the hell they want.
