$30,000 reward offered for information leading to arrest of man who tortured Neosho dog

(From the Neosho Police Department)

We have received numerous calls of support from all over the country, however, the number of actual leads have been low.

Detectives continue to work leads as they are called in, however, nothing has been substantiated.

The reward money has been donated by Neosho citizens and citizens from all over the country.

This reward is in addition to the $15,000 being offered by the National Humane Society.

The Neosho Police Department would like to thank everyone for their support and we will continue to diligently work investigative leads as we receive them.

Previous News Release

On 09/23/2019 at approximately 5:30 PM officers were dispatched the area of Greenwood Blvd and Lou Ida drive in reference to animal abuse.

When officers arrived, they found a female beagle that had approximately 75% of its skin removed while still alive.
The animal either escaped from the assault or was set free in this condition.

Officers caught the injured animal, and after consulting veterinary staff; the animal had to be euthanized to end its suffering.

The dog had come from the area of Hilldale Dr. when it was called in by local residents.

After further investigation detectives learned the dog’s owner resided in the 1300 block of Lou Ida Drive. The dog had escaped from its residence while the owners were away. When the owners left town, the dog was not in its mutilated state.

Through the generosity of the Newton County Sheriff, Chris Jennings, and several anonymous citizens a $1000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved is offered.

Sheriff Jennings has also graciously offered the assistance of his department during this investigation.

A facial photo of the beagle victim (edited for public view) is being provided in hopes someone witnessed the injured dog leaving the suspect location or heard the assault take place.

If anyone has any information on this case please contact the Neosho Police Department at 417-451-8012 or The Newton County Sheriff’s Department at 417-451-8300.

The headline states that a man did this. Is that factual or an assumption? I realize the odds are that a woman didn't do this but it could have been a juvenile. Just wondering why if it assumed it was man who was responsible that it also wasn't assumed that he was white? Odds are he is so why not put that in the headline?

9:49..low effort, low energy. Stick to your day job, or find one.
On a serious note, if anyone reading this is aware of who did this and are not telling law enforcement, please rethink it. This is a serious symptom of derangement and whomever did this needs help immediately. This kind of behavior could lead to much more serious crimes. This is bad enough, but it could be a person next.

About a year ago, Facebook allowed a video of a man skinning a large dog. The dog was tied by the leg and hanging, head down. The dog was making every effort to get away and would raise its head and shoulders, trying to bite at the man. You may ask, "why would you watch this", and I must say that I watched because I was not believing what I was seeing and my mind kept trying to put it in perspective. Was it real or was it fake? All I can tell you is that I was sick with anger, sadness, disgust, and every other negative emotion I could feel. Why would Facebook allow this heinous act and why would they allow it if it were merely a prank? The odds of catching this asshat that did this are small unless he took a video or there was a second person involved, and the more enticement to give it up the better. We can't allow this to go unpenalized because this behavior will lead to even more violent actions.

Maybe look for some MAGAets?

Riding around in a roached out jacked up pickem up truck? One with stars and bars and Dixie Outfitters stickers in the back window and a horn that plays Dixie?

Name calling is so cute. It's a shame that when you hit puberty you will lose your penchant for childlike wordplay and simply become a lonely, bitter adult who sucks the teet of some political party that dupes you into thinking that they have your beat interests at heart... oh well, until you do hit puberty we can all enjoy your childish rants.

Does the whiner at 9:04 have some sort of fixation on puberty? (asking for a friend!)

Maybe they are one of those closet cuckservatives? Whatever that is!

Whiner? Point out the whining. Recognizing childish behavior, like name calling and pointing it out for what it is, isn't whining. Assuming that a person must be prepubescent because of their ability not to act like an adult doesn't make fixated on puberty either. However, I do admire you attempting to stick up for your middle school classmate, 9:11.
