A Jasper Police Department Sgt. Amber Ashby, who was assaulted during an incident at Pete's Convenience Store October 16 returned to duty today, according to a post on the department's Facebook page (see below).
Raven Cheyenne Gomez (DOB 1996) and Brandon David (DOB 1978) are charged with assault with Gomez alleged to have punched Ashby in the face and knocking her down, David punching her repeatedly and Gomez running over her foot twice.
Gomez and David were captured in Allen County, where Gomez was charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to kill another inmate in the county jail.
