Obama: It's the past versus the future
This year's election is about the "past versus the future," Sen. Barack Obama is telling supporters in Madison, Wisconsin after sweeping today's primaries in Washington, D. C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Obama praised likely GOP opponent John McCain's heroism, but not his views saying that McCain's thinking represented the thinking of the past. John McCain won't ever be able to say I supported this war in Iraq, because I opposed it from the start."
Obama noted that McCain said a few days ago the U. S. might be in Iraq for another 100 years. "That's enough reason not to give him four years in the White House."
Obama said the money that went into Iraq could be used to rebuild our highways and our schools."
Meanwhile, the balloting is showing that Obama is tripling Hillary Clinton's vote total in Washington, D. C. 76 to 23 percent.
