Missouri Republican Party Executive Director Jared Craighead says he understands the disappointment, but feels confident Steelman supporters will back Hulshof over Democrat Jay Nixon in November.
There had been rumors of what was called a unity rally in which Hulshof and Steelman would come together. That didn't happen. And that's fine with Craighead. "We don't need to have an event where our entire ticket stands together and acts like we're unified," says Craithead. "We are unified."

Craighead: Missouri GOP is united
Despite the bitter gubernatorial primary between winner Kenny Hulshof and Sarah Steelman, the Missouri Republican Party is united, according to Jared Craighead, MRP executive director.
