New felony sex charges filed against Neosho minister

Six counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor were filed today against Randall Danny Russell, pastor of Acts II Church, Neosho.

The acts allegedly took place April 29, according to court records. The arrest was made by the Newton County Sheriff's Department.


Russell has a 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, pre-trial hearing in McDonald County Circuit Court on eight counts of statutory sodomy, two counts of child molestation, and single counts of statutory rape and child abuse for allegedly taking advantage of underage girls from his church.

The trial on those counts is being held in McDonald County on a change of venue from Newton County.
