We Could not get the the Preforming Arts wing done? But we do have the Gym ready for Basketball season.... We also have the sports fields out front of the building done. But no preforming arts? Guess we know where the priorities are.
I realize that there were delays on the north end of the structure, due to the underground issues, but the administrators should have developed a back-up plan. As it is now, the band students have to carry their instruments throughout the building all day, every day, because there are, of course, NO lockers. Is there a plan to fix this problem? None that they have told the band students. Would you not assume the principals or the fine arts teachers would have a better plan than making the kids carry their instruments the entire day? No, they never gave it any thought. Would the football players or the baseball players be expected to carry their gear from class to class and even in the cafeteria? Of course not! Come up with a plan, JHS! Do your job as administrators. All of the kids are making adjustments, but the freshmen band members are particularly overwhelmed. Expecting them to carry their instrument cases is ridiculous. Give them a temporary place to store their instruments! If it's all about the kids, then PROVE it! Shameful disregard for the kids AGAIN! Don't pretend it's for the kids, when we all know it isn't.
