  NEWTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI...
  NORTHWESTERN BARRY COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI...
  LAWRENCE COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 130 AM CDT

* AT 1227 AM CDT...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
  EXTENDING FROM 9 MILES NORTH OF LOCKWOOD TO NEAR GOLDEN CITY TO
  NEAR CARL JUNCTION...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

  HAZARD...70 MPH WIND GUSTS.

  SOURCE...LAW ENFORCEMENT. THESE STORMS HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF
           PRODUCING 60 TO 70 MPH WIND GUSTS WHICH HAVE DOWNED TREES
           AND POWER LINES.

  IMPACT...EXPECT CONSIDERABLE TREE DAMAGE. DAMAGE IS LIKELY TO
           MOBILE HOMES...ROOFS...AND OUTBUILDINGS.
