The Carthage Press lives again as of today.
In the accompanying video, the ownership team of the new Carthage Press is introduced, as well as returning editor John Hacker.
The team explains how the newspaper will operate, including its plan to mail copies of the paper free of charge to all Carthage residents.
After GateHouse Media shut down the original Carthage Press, Publisher Paul Donley began publishing the Carthage Chronicle, which has also been mailed free of charge to Carthage residents, but has been soliciting subscriptions in its early issues.
The ability for the new group to use the name Carthage Press apparently is a result of the failure of GateHouse Media to trademark the name.
