Carthage artist Andy Thomas' painting featured on 60 Minutes Trump interview

Sharp-eyed viewers who watched 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl's interview with President Donald Trump Sunday night saw that a painting by Carthage artist Andy Thomas was hanging prominently in the White House.

The painting, which features Trump playing poker with Republican presidents dating back to Abraham Lincoln, including Teddy Roosevelt, George W. Bush, George H. W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Dwight Eisenhower struck Trump's fancy so much that he recently called Thomas from the White House to relay that message.

In the accompanying video from earlier today, CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin interviews Thomas, who notes that he has done a similar painting featuring Democratic presidents.

The paintings also include a look to the future as Thomas has a woman prominently in the background who is striding forward to join the all-male crews for both parties.
