Joplin Northpark Mall Sears store not among the 142 that will close following company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy

One hundred forty-two Sears stores will close as a result of the company's decision to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, including three in Missouri, but the anchor store at Joplin's Northpark Mall is not one of them.

The list of closings includes Sears stores in St. Joseph, Kansas City and Florissant.
