As he outlined plans to return to the moon and eventually to go to Mars during a visit to the Glenn Research Center in Ohio today, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said the trip to the moon would include a female astronaut and that astronaut who could very well be Janet Kavandi, who heads the Glenn Research Center and is a veteran of space shuttle flights in 1998, 2000 and 2001.
“I think it’d be cool to have Janet Kavandi be the first woman on the moon."
Bridenstine said the selection of a crew for the mission will not be made in the near future, but the first woman to touch the lunar surface will be someone with considerable experience in space.

"For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon - We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!"

I'm just thankful its not another child porn story which seems to be the norm around here.
I'm also thankful she was able to leave this area and make a better life somewhere else.
