Nine COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Joplin Monday bringing the total to 659.
The number of coronavirus patients continued approaching capacity as the number increased from 45 to 47 at Freeman and Mercy. Eight of the patients are from Joplin.
The hospitals have an approximately capacity of 60 COVID-19 patients before having to consider transferring patients elsewhere.
The number of active cases fell from 99 to 95.
The city has recorded 21 COVID-19 deaths, all of them residents of Spring River Christian Village.
