Jimmy Kimmel Live will return on ABC tonight, but you won't see it locally.
Nexstar Broadcasting stations are not carrying Kimmel and while KODE, the local ABC affiliate, is owned by Mission Broadcasting, it is managed by Nexstar.
According to the schedule posted on Four States Home Page, KODE's 10 p.m. news, previously a half hour, will be one hour and be followed by Entertainment Tonight. The station returns to ABC programming with Nightline at 11:30 p.m.
Area residents who want to see what Kimmel says following his brief forced vacation won't be able to see it live on KODE, but it will be streamed on Hulu tomorrow (Wednesday) and odds are every news station will carry his opening remarks at some point in their programs.
ABC owner Disney pulled Jimmy Kimmel live off the schedule after making remarks about the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kimmel opened by calling Kirk's death "a senseless murder" and criticized those who were celebrating the death and President Trump for "working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk."

In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”Nexstar Broadcasting issued.a statement today saying that its stations and the stations its manage will not carry Kimmel's show.

We stand by that decision pending assurance that all parties are committed to fostering an environment of respectful, constructive dialogue in the markets we serve. In the meantime, we note that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will be available nationwide on multiple Disney-owned streaming products, while our stations will focus on continuing to produce local news and other programming relevant to their respective markets.

Good. From the looks of his ratings (and late night in general), it doesn't look like anyone is watching him anyway. Many of you need to go back and take a general civics course in order to comprehend the protections given you by the 1st amendment. His speech was not protected from his bosses taking action against him. You simply cannot say whatever you want, meanwhile impacting your company's bottom line or reputation, and not expect to lose your job. Google is your friend people. Are you saying it is unproven that the chairman of the FCC openly admitted to pressuring ABC to pull Kimmel because it hurt Donald's feelings? Or are you saying that it is unproven that Disney confirmed that Kimmel didn't say anything bad, but feared what a dictator can do when they have illegal control of that agency?

Again, both things are distorted and come from "anonymous sources." Conspiracy at its finest. Now THAT is truly a liberal way of squelching the 1st amendment - by denying a platform to anyone that disagrees with your ideology. Bottom line is, once again, the Kimmel situation is not a first amendment violation until it's 100 percent proven in a court of law that the FCC conspired to keep Kimmel off the airwaves. The much more plausible explanation is that they were bleeding cash with the production costs of the show, with viewership down over 70% over the last 10 years, and decided to take advantage of the situation by suspending him and considering taking the show off the air. Its inevitable that with viewership changes talk shows are on their way out. Its business. Put on your big boy panties and figure out your path forward.
