The Corner fails Joplin Health Department inspection, mice droppings cited


Mice droppings in the bag and box station were among the problems cited by the Joplin Health Department in its inspection of The Corner, 2002 S. Main Street, according to information posted on the department website.

The inspection revealed one priority violation, one administrative violation and four core violations.







The priority violation was for the mice droppings. Core violations were recorded for the following:

-Door gaskets, as well as the door itself on the walk-in cooler were damaged.

-The handwashing sink did not have hot water.

-Gaskets were damaged and missing from the front entrance possibly allowing entry for insects and rodents.

-The bottom portion of the wall around the soda fountain dispensers had water damage.

The administrative violation was for not having an up-to-date health permit posted.
