While her opponent, Platte County Auditor Sandra Thomas was piling up $89,610 in the final days of the campaign through a legal, but ethically challenged committee laundry operation, Democratic state auditor candidate Susan Montee reported $3,775 in contributions, all coming in Friday.
She received the maximum $1,275 from Laborers Local 264, Kansas City; $1,200 from Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, $500 apiece from Murrow, Willnauer and Klosterman, Kansas City, and Laborers Local No. 319, Joplin; and $300 from Edward Dowd, St. Louis.

Randy - why a headline about one candidate then use as your lead, what you consider "ethically challenged" news about another candidate? And why no link to the fundraising of the candidate you used in the headline...this really wasn't about the candidate in your headline at all was it? It was a bait and switch to criticize another candidate....real fine journalism on your part!
