Buchanan County Auditor Susan Montee's win over Sandra Thomas in the state auditor race should serve to provide a buffer to Missouri Governor Matt Blunt, according to an article in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
If Montee follows in the footsteps of current state auditor Claire McCaskill — whose high-profile audits became steps in her career ladder — Montee could use the post as a key check on Republican Gov. Matt Blunt, who is up for re-election in 2008.

Randy, once again you have set yourself apart from others in your desire to communicate, to enlighten and to help educate the voters in southwest Missouri. Blogging is such a strategic tool in exposing and talking about issues that, at least initially, don't hit the radar screen of major news outlets. We (your loyal readers) appreciate the long hours you keep, not only researching, but also re-typing what you find. Yes "inquiring minds want to know". We all want to make an 'educated' decision, given the facts. Keep up the good work. -Knox
I agree.....good job Randy and I am for (almost) anyone kicking little Matt out of that office. Holden did a terrible job and Matt isn't doing any better.
