Bruffett's presence improves Good Morning 4-States

I'm a few weeks behind with this assessment of KODE's change in morning show personnel, but putting veteran reporter Shannon Bruffett in the news slot opposite Alan Matthews on Good Morning 4-States is exactly the move the station needed to make.
The show has been difficult to watch the past few years since the departure of Malorie Maddox. KODE has been insistent on serving up one barely out of college news reader, most of whom had nothing but looks, a monotone delivery, and absolutely no connection with this area. It was an adventure whenever they attempted live interviews.
While KSNF hit the jackpot with the team of Toni Valliere and Lucas McDonald and KOAM has had a string of solid reporters (Lori Pritchard, Sarah Pierik, and Doreen Scanlon) opposite Dave Pylant.
The only oasis for KODE viewers has been whenever the news reader has been absent and Gretchen Bolander filled in.
For the lowdown on Ms. Bruffett, this information is provided by the KODE website:

Shannon is a native of Joplin. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1995 and then Missouri Southern in 1998. On her days off, she can be found working on her Victorian home (a constant project) or reading.

Ms. Bruffett has served as the weekend anchor and substituted on the weather on weekdays, and has been a solid reporter for KODE.

Now it would be nice if Ms. Bruffett's current job status was highlighted on the KODE website, and if the picture and information on her predecessor Antonia DeNardo was removed.

Wow, what a change. Like replacing Scarlett Johannsen with Ms. Piggy.

Shannon has struggled mightily with her weight, but she's still a hometown girl who deserves to be recognized for her talents.

If she had any, I'd recognize it.

I've meet Shannon several times at media events. I have never been impressed with her personality on TV or in person. She is too abrassive and garrish for my taste. Yikes!!!!
