Long launches attack ad against Nodler, Goodman "to set the record straight"

Springfield auctioneer Billy Long has launched his much-awaited response to the attack ad launched Monday by Americans for Job Security. The new ad targets his top competitors in the Seventh District Congressional race, Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, and Sen. Jack Goodman, R-Mount Vernon:

If you can't win on your own merits, run down the competition.

St. Louis is trying to revitalize a major blighted area and the Missouri Senate and Missouri General Assembly worked together to make it happen. As a result, numerous investors and developers are working together with state, county and city leaders to make positive things happen. Jobs will be created and the economy will benefit in our area.

Give the people we vote for to serve in public office some credit.
Just like I hope you tried to accomplish as a member of the Springfield/Branson Airport Board with you vote to utilize the earmark secured by Senator Bond and Congressman Blunt. I don't give a damn what you call it, a grant, an earmark, a gift from the Boys and Girls Clubs. It was the right vote at the right time to help the region. Now you are in denial for populist, political ideology.

Why would you would stoop this low? Are you the man in the campaign or are you simply a tool of the political handlers you've hired?

I hope he calls Jack on August 4th and apologizes to our next Congressman!

The voters in Nodler's and Goodman's Senate Districts have elected and reelected them to serve them in Jefferson City by very large pluralities.

You come out of the gated community of Highland Springs and want to discount their knowledge and judgement on voting for qualified people to serve in public office? Specifically the important offices of their respective Senate Districts? What is the matter with you man? Get out of the coffee shop and quit drinking caffine drinks. You're about to blow a gasket.

I will go out on a limb here and suggest that the voters in their respective districts and in the remaining portions of the 7th Congressional District, know better than Billy Long that both Gary Nodler and Jack Goodman are good men; capable public servants; and, much better qualified to represent us in Congress.

I guess we'll just test my theory next Tuesday.

I really expected a little more of a statesman like campaign from you Mr. Long. But you've turned it into an auction to benefit the highest bidder....you.

You, Sarah, Mike and Mel are heading to the last roundup. Enjoy the trip.

It would appear Billy Boy isn't the political neophyte, aw-shucks Mr. Smith taking a break from check signing to go to Washington he would have us believe. Or at least his scumbag consultants aren't.

No matter what.... I'll never forget Gary Nodler's behavior with the handicapped children. That showed everybody what kind of person he really is. I am doing everything I possibly can to insure his defeat... even if it means voting for the guy from Springfield.

As a social worker for 6 years and someone who has worked with handicaped children and adults, I can tell you that it was the fault of the Healthcare worker, not the handicaped kids or Gary Nodler. There was a theater full of people that were being genuinly very distracted. Mr. Nodler who was directly in front of them spoke to the healthcare worker, not the kids. She shouldn't have put those kids in that position knowing what they will and won't react to. That's emotionally abusive to them. Using handicaped kids for a free movie and then not tending to them as is her job? Unfortunately this happens alot I can tell you. She also further revealed her character by the way by telling Mr. Nodler to "f*ck off", yes, right in front of her kids.
