Joplin Bright Futures holds dream building workshop

Joplin Bright Futures held a dream building workshop Monday. From the KODE report:

Around 130 partners gathered to brainstorm and share their goals for the district. Every member was separated into a group and each group made a poster board showing what they would like to see happen in Joplin schools.

"I think as a district, we realize that there's lot of need in our community and lots of kids who need support, and we know that we can't do it on our own. And so really, Bright Futures is that bridge between the school and the community," said Melissa Winston, Bright Futures Joplin Coordinator.

I'm so sorry I missed this event. My invitation must surely have been lost in the mail. That's okay. These people will never see another dime from me, or anyone in my social circle, again. Waste not, want not.

My donations will go to a source that I believe will truly spend the money on those in need, and not on staff support for R8's bragging rights. I want to look after children, not pay for someone's stipend.

Dream big.
