Flood watch in effect for Barton, Cedar, Dade, Vernon counties

...HEAVY RAINFALL AND THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING THIS WEEKEND...

.A SLOW MOVING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING SEVERAL ROUNDS OF MODERATE
TO HEAVY RAINFALL THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THE MOST WIDESPREAD AND
HEAVIEST RAINFALL WILL FALL FROM TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT
OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO WESTERN MISSOURI. RAINFALL MAY LINGER
TO THE SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44 INTO MEMORIAL DAY. THOSE WITH
RECREATIONAL PLANS ALONG AREA RIVERS THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND SHOULD
CLOSELY MONITOR RIVER LEVELS.
