Kelsey Norman teacher named Joplin R-8 Teacher of the Year
Karen Evans, a first grade teacher at Kelsey Norman Elementary School, was named Teacher of the Year for the Joplin R-8 School District.
Is that the Kelsey Norman principal who cannot speak on her own without reading directly from paper? How pathetic. I bet she does not even know the namesake of the school.....unless someone puts it on a paper in front of her.
8:34 at this point I don't care if she knows the name sake of the school or not, the numbers at Julie Munn's school show she is doing what it takes to educate our children in the areas that affect their future. I don't care who the namesake is and my children don't need to know either. I'm thankful my children are in one of the two highest ranked elementary schools in Joplin. At least I know my children will come out of 5th grade on a 5th grade (or higher) level, and they will have been loved. Julie Munn is a wonderful principal. It sounds as if you may be just a tad bit jealous of her accomplishments in the academic arena.
HOORAY FOR KAREN!!! This lady is truly an outstanding educator. Unlike many in the past who received golden apples and such, this lady is truly one of the BEST teachers you could find. She loves kids, wants to do what is right for them and she knows how to grow them and bring out their best.
