THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6 PM
CST SATURDAY.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW FROM LATE TONIGHT INTO
  SATURDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE INTO EARLY SATURDAY
  AFTERNOON BEFORE DIMINISHING FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST LATER
  IN THE AFTERNOON.

* MAIN IMPACT...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES.
  THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR NEAR THE INTERSTATE 44
  CORRIDOR. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS APPROACHING OR EXCEEDING FOUR
  INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NORTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD
  ALONG THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR. THIS SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY
  RESULT IN SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS.

* OTHER IMPACTS...MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW BURSTS MAY RESULT
  IN VISIBILITIES BEING REDUCED TO LESS THAN HALF MILE AT TIMES.
  THE SNOW WILL ALSO BE WET IN NATURE AND MAY MAKE SNOW REMOVAL
  MORE DIFFICULT THAN NORMAL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
