Tri-State Engineering sold

Olsson Associates announced today that is buying Tri-State Engineering of Joplin.

Tri-State is the second engineering company purchased this week by the Lincoln, Nebraska-based firm, which announced it was buying Lutjen, Inc. in the Kansas City area.

From the Lincoln Jouirnal-Star:

"Our firms have worked together on Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery in Joplin and on other projects in the region,” said Ron Mersch, the office leader for Olsson’s Springfield and Joplin locations in Missouri. “TSE has a great reputation in the four-state area and helps us expand our firm’s presence."

TSE will become “Tri-State Engineering, a division of Olsson Associates” from July 18 through the end of 2016. The company then will take on the Olsson Associates name in 2017.

TSE’s staff at its Joplin and Claremore, Oklahoma, offices will remain unchanged.
