The city of Joplin confirmed 44 COVID-19 cases during a 24-hour period, according to statistics posted on the city's COVID-19 dashboard.
The number of active cases increased from 108 to 129, while the number of city residents hospitalized increased from seven to eight and the number being quarantined went from 190 to 198.
The number of cases in the Freeman and Mercy COVID-19 units remained at 43.
Joplin has recorded 21 coronavirus deaths, all residents of Spring River Christian Village.
