A Carthage man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on two sex charges involving a minor.
During a hearing held today in Jasper County Circuit Court, Jerad Adams, 36, Carthage, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted sexual exploitation.
In exchange for Adams' guilty plea, the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney office agreed to let him plead to the lesser offenses. Adams was originally charged with two felony counts of statutory sodomy.
