One Carthage Junior High School student tested positive for COVID-19 and 27 are under quarantine as of Tuesday, according to statistics posted on the R-9 School District's COVID-19 page.
The only other positive COVID-19 case is a staff member at Mark Twain Elementary.
The district has 73 students and five staff members under quarantine.
Two staff members at the Early Childhood Center and one apiece at Mark Twain, the Carthage Intermediate Center and Carthage High School are under quarantine.
In addition to the 27 under quarantine at the junior high school, the following numbers were reported at other district buildings:
