(From the City of Joplin)In planning for the future of Memorial Hall, Joplin Parks and Recreation is hosting a Public Meeting on Tuesday, October 27 to discuss various options being considered.
People are welcome to come at 5:15 p.m. to view displays and the presentation will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting will be at the Memorial Education Center, 825 Pearl Avenue, formerly Memorial High School. Please use the west entrance of the building. Parking is available in the lot on the west side of Pearl Street.
City staff, along with the consultant group of SFS Architecture, will discuss the results from the second survey asking citizens their opinions on preliminary concepts and programming possibilities within this historic building.

For nearly 100 years Memorial Hall has played a diverse role in our community. It was built in 1925 as a war veteran memorial to honor the men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms. The building has hosted many types of events throughout the years including athletic games and competitions, concerts and family activities.
