Newsmakers program focuses on Joplin Parks and Recreation Department

The City of Joplin’s Parks & Recreation Department highlights the next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.

Director Paul Bloomberg sits down with Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager, to discuss how the city has continued programming during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how the city is seeking input from citizens about future opportunities and programming.

The show airs nightly, Sunday through Friday, at 5:30 p.m. - and at 5:30 a.m. Saturday mornings on KOAM-TV. All episodes can be found on the station’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern).

KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
