Links provided to text of President's MSSU speeches

The White House website has posted the transcript of President Bush's remarks at his campaign stop for Sen. Jim Talent today at Missouri Southern State University.
The site also has the transcript of the president's appearance with Sen. Talent this morning in Springfield.

Oddly enough, the first time Bush came to the area he gave the same speech twice; once in Joplin and once in Springfield. I was listened to both speeches on the radio and assume he repeated that speech again in Iowa or Illnois or wherever it was that he went after he left here.

I was curious so I printed off both speeches for comparison. According to the White House he made similar but not identical speeches this time around. That means that either he's gotten better at giving speeches (does anyone really believe that?) or someone's "fixing" the written version. I tend to think that written version has been "fixed" for the public and posterity.

I wish I could have been in Joplin to protest and dissent. Our country has been hijacked by a group that has plans which IGNORE the needs of the American people. Bush does not represent what America is about but a lot of people still have to be enlightened. Do you really think he grieves over the deaths of your sons and daughters? He and his bunch have been selling you SNAKE OIL for far too long now. I can still see Cindy Sheehan sitting down there in Crawford, Tx. requesting to speak with Bush. He could drive by in a fancy vehicle that you and I bought him against our will, he could look through glass at Cindy Sheehan and she could not see him back as the glass is made not to allow what is inside to be seen. He could certainly go next door to a fundraising event and BBQ but he could't address a very sensitive issue with a mother who had lost her only son to this "NIGHTMARISH MISTAKE OF A WAR". He showed his gutlessness and lack of concern. We are just pawns to be used in his groups plans. Words are cheap and we are seeing just how cheap.
I wish I could of been there but work probably saved me from myself.
