I had a chance yesterday to look over the Friday print edition of the Neosho Daily News, in which the story about the eight awards the newspaper received in the annual Associated Press Managing Editors Contest was printed.
The Daily story included a complete list of the winners in all categories, giving the reader an idea of who the competition was, plus allowing readers the opportunity to see how newspapers in other categories did, including the Joplin Globe.
The Globe story, which ran in the Sunday edition, was prominently featured, a first for the newspaper and a welcome change, but it made only a brief reference to the awards won by the Neosho Daily. But at least the Daily was mentioned.
