Branson bigwigs contribute $4,800 to Goodman

Silver Dollar City owners Jack and Sharon Herschend contributed $4,800 to Jack Goodman's Seventh District Congressional campaign Friday, according to a 48-hour report filed today with the Federal Election Commission.

Goodman also received $1,450 from his campaign treasurer and Barry County Presiding Commissioner Cherry Warren.

The Herschend's have seen the light. They previously supported Billy Long. I can only assume the reality of Billy's gambling finally came home to roost.

The Whoreschends want a seat at the table.

Man this is so true. Three cheers for whoever came up with this name. They try to put their money where it can always buy the most influence, to hell with everyone else. It would be so nice if they would sell their giant theme park and move to Siberia.

Thank you but it was not original.

Pete has been known in Jefferson City by that descriptive name for many years. His chubby, chain smoking shadow has been known as his pimp.

Their interest is roads to get people to the theme park and other properties in their control and adverstising through the Tourism Commission to tell people which roads to take.

They know they can buy favor with Long and Goodman and $4800 to each is petty cash.
