The L word that could end up deciding the winner of the U. S. Senate race between Roy Blunt and Robin Carnahan is probably not going to be "liberal."
The word in question is "lobbyist" and both sides have been using it in their advertising. It makes sense for Robin Carnahan's campaign to talk about lobbyists since Roy Blunt is married to one, has children who are lobbyists, has a past association with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, and attempted unsuccessfully to slip wording into the Homeland Security Bill that would have benefited one of his girlfriend's lobbying clients, but wouldn't have done a thing to protect the United States.
It is hard to understand why the Blunt campaign and people like those at Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies, which is paying for the accompanying video to keep mentioning the word "lobbyist."

Roy Blunt is just singing his Swan Song.
Lazy, that what the 'L' is for. The whole family has been lazy with their hand out for a government grant or job for the last, what, thirty years.
The Carnahan family or the Blunt family, 12:58 p.m.? Because that particular L word is AC-DC: It could swing both ways.
