Isn't news among GateHouse Media's top priorities?

In a post on the GateHouse Media company blog, it becomes apparent what company officials thinks makes a good newspaper:

With two days of evaluations complete, 178 newsrooms have been certified as part of GateHouse Media’s Inner Circle for the second quarter of 2014.

Inner Circle is GateHouse Media's quarterly recognition of newsrooms that adhere to a number of industry best practices. The expectations include continuous website updates, a daily presence on Facebook and Twitter, and creating regular video and photo galleries.

Wouldn't you think that excellent news coverage would be considered desirable/

GateHouse Media owns the Carthage Press, Neosho Daily News, Pittsburg Morning Sun, Miami News-Record, Grove Sun, Aurora Advertiser, Greenfield Vedette, and the Big Nickel in this area.
