More emergency teachers hired as shortage hits Oklahoma

The harm that the war on teachers has caused can be seen in neighboring Oklahoma where more emergency certificates than ever have been necessary due to the teaching shortage.

This is something we can expect to see in more states thanks to the continuing devaluation of teachers by politicians and reformers who have made schools all about testing, deemphasized discipline, and continue to replace actual teaching with whatever scripted lesson plans and demoralizing initiatives are being pushed by consultants.
