Richard: Webster Award winner Nodler spearheaded MSSU change from college to university

The 2018 recipient of the Webster Medallin at Missouri Southern State University, former Sen. Gary Nolder, was the man who made the university's status happen, according to the man who succeeded him in the Senate.

In this MSSU video, Sen. Ron Richard says of Nodler, "He was the spearhead in the name of the university."

It was not easy, Nodler notes.

"The Southern bill was thought to be impossible." Nodler said he was able to succeed in getting the bill passed using what he had learned from the late Sen. Richard Webster, in whose honor the medallion was named.

Well deserved!! Gary did an excellent job; and more importantly continues to support the university in every way. I don’t think he and his lovely wife have ever missed a Lionbacker event, and attend numerous sporty s events, showing strong leadership for the School!

Lost what respect I had for Nodler after he showed his ass at the movie theater here in Joplin. Berating special ed students on the rare occasion they got to enjoy a movie, by demanding their removal from the premises from management because they “bothered” him. Leadership requires a conscience, something this political weasel lacks.

Let them enjoy their movies at home. When a person is screeching and making loud sub-human noises throughout a movie at a public theater, special or not, they need to be removed.

Sub-human?

I think I understand where you are coming from, but your choice of words is unfortunate.

I agree that just because they are "special" (I hate that PC term) that they should not be allowed to disrupt others who have also paid to watch a movie.
