Probable cause affidavit: Joplin man said he molested 12-year-old girl in Oklahoma

The probable cause affidavit in the child pornography case against a 24-year-old Joplin man reveals a nightmarish world of pedophilia and violence.

Even before officers executed a search warrant at Daniel Rehman's home, they were told by his roommate that Rehman had admitted he molested a 12-year-old girl.

The Southwest Missouri Cyber Task Force zeroed in on Rehman following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Tumblr account was uploading multiple files containing suspected child pornography.

Included in the images were underage females, one as looking as young as five shown in pornographic situations with adult males.

On September 4, investigators met with Rehman's roommate, referred to in the probable cause affidavit as G. O.

G. O. reported that Rehman tried to show him child pornography that was on Rehman's phone. G. O. stated that Rehman also told him that he had molested a 12-year-old child when he lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After a search warrant was issued, officers found Rehman was not home, but were able to get his number from a neighbor and asked him to meet them at his home.



When Rehman arrived, officers seized his phone and "Rehman admitted that he had been viewing child pornography for several years. Rehman admitted that he had downloaded and possessed images of child pornography of children as young as infants."


Law enforcement also located a poster on the wall of the apartment, which depicted an adult male choking a female child. Law enforcement also located a green flag hung on one of the apartment walls, which Rehman told law enforcement was a flag for Pakistani Nazis. In the kitchen above the cabinets, law enforcement located a German Nazi officer's hat. A Ruger handgun was located inside a metal ammunition can. There were over 300 rounds of ammunition inside the can. These items were not seized by law enforcement, however, photographs were taken.

Officers found more pornography on a flash drive. And items were found showing violence and racial hatred, according to the affidavit.

Rehman created an image where is wearing a Nazi officer's hat in front of a large pile of dead bodies. In another image, a cartoon character duck is depicted with a caption bubble stating, "When you trick the autistic kid into raping the girl with Down Syndrome you record it, sell the video to a local pedophile and use the profit to buy guns to shoot up the school.
