Two purported Joplin Honkies members entered not guilty pleas to felony kidnapping, assault, armed criminal action and tampering with a motor vehicle charges during a video arraignment November 29 in Jasper County Circuit Court.
The next hearing for Aaron Clay Davis, 25, and Travis C. Law, 43, both of Carl Junction, is scheduled for 9 a.m. December 12 in front of Judge Joseph Hensley.
Both men are being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
From the probable cause statement:
On 11/27/2018 at 2145 hours, Aaron Clay Davis and Travis Clinton Long (two known Joplin Honkies) arrived at 208 East Allen Street and entered the residence.
Immediately after entering, Aaron punched C. K. on the right side of the face. C. K. stated that Aaron accused him of being a snitch. C. K. stated that Aaron and Travis forced him out of the house and into the passenger seat of M. S.'s (CK's aunt) black 2008 Chevy Avalanche.
C. K. stated that he remembered seeing Aaron with a large black handgun. Aaron drove M. S.'s Chevy Avalanche while Travis followed behind in a white Ford F-150. During the ride from Carl Junction to Carthage, Aaron punched C. K. on the left side of his face a couple times and continued accusing him of being a snitch.
Aaron was on the phone with a man by the name of Brandon, possibly with the last name Hendrix. While Aaron was on the phone with Brandon, he could hear them talking about "taking him out" and getting rid of his body.
C. K. stated that Aaron asked him weird questions as if he was playing mind games with him C. K. stated that the moment the vehicle came to a stop and the doors unlocked. C. K. fled for the nearest house with a light on and had them call the Carthage Police Department. Aaron and Travis fled the scene in the white Ford F-150.
While Carthage Police was processing the Chevy Avalanche, Travis and Aaron drove by them in the white Ford F-150, Carthage Police stopped Travis and Aaron and located .40 caliber ammunition in the vehicle. The clothing worn by Travis and Aaron matched the description given by C. K.
While speaking with the homeowner at 208 East Allen Street stated she saw Aaron punch C. K. in the face and that Aaron, Travis and C. K. all left together.
