The Joplin R-8 Board of Education is expected to approve a $742,200 for remodeling of the Memorial Education Center so the Franklin Tech Adult Technology Center can move there in the summer of 2019.
The center is currently based at Missouri Southern State University.
R-8 administration is recommending the board approve the bid from Construction Services Group. Four bids were received for the project.
The base bid for the project is $710,000 with a $31,500 alternate for HVAC remote access control.
The 4:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting will also include approval of a bid for four surplus property lots and a closed session for hiring, firing, promoting or disciplining personnel.
