Bill White: Still no compromise reached on prescription drug monitoring

Of course there is no compromise because the legislators are being paid by the drug companies and prescription companies to no pass meaningful oversight. It is simple as 1,2,3 to check and report drug abuse by doctors, nurses and the citizens of the state. If it were done then the drug companies would not be making tons, yes tons of money off of selling unnecessary drugs for addicts.
I do not, under any circumstances, want my government monitoring medications that I receive. That is an infringement upon my rights to privacy. My doctor and my pharmacist are the only people who should have a look-see into what I am taking in order to make certain I am not taking anything that interacts or is a possible allergen. There are way too many variables that could take place between my RX and the government and then it is one step closer to Soylent Green. There are already rules in place for doctors and nurses (as in losing their licenses or getting drug rehab).

And the insurance companies shouldn't have any say in the medications I take.
