Among the bills passed by the Missouri General Assembly during the waning hours of the session that concluded Friday was a measure that eliminates the requirement to wear a helmet when you are on a motorcycle and cuts down on the requirement that have newer vehicles inspected before license renewal.
The accompanying video from KMOV explores this legisation, which is awaiting the governor's signature.

What about seatbelt laws? They infringe upon freedum at least as much!
I agree with 8:06.
If they don't have to wear a helmet, I shouldn't be required to wear a seat belt.
More evidence that Rs only care about the unborn, once they're born they don't give two shits.
Hahaha... 12:44, nice connection to abortion. Keep crying, you lefty snowflake.
This is ridiculous. The government should be involved in every decision we make.
OK, I get it. Apparently the legislature thinks we shouldn't have laws to protect people from being stupid, as long as they kill only themselves. Fair enough.
But here's a thought.
Q: What do you call a motorcyclist riding without a helmet?
A: An organ donor.
As a society, we seem to be suffering from a lot of "By God, don't tell ME what to do!" It's not a really good frame of mind for making wise decisions. Kind of falls into the "Cut off your nose to spite your own face" category. I hope riders choose to wear helmets, and I hope drivers buckle up. There's no future in being stupid and defiant just because you can be.
