Thirty-five new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Newton County during the past two days, according to statistics posted earlier this evening on the Newton County Health Department Facebook page.
The new cases increase the county's total to 1,875.
The number of people who are under isolation increased from 311 to 322, with the number hospitalized growing from 14 to 15.
Newton County has recorded 24 deaths due to COVID-19.
The statistics do not include the portion of Newton County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
