Proud Boys to have booth at Neosho Fall Festival, Neosho City Council told there's nothing it can do about it

When the Neosho Fall Festival is held this weekend, the thousands of people expected to attend will have a wide variety of booths to explore.

They can sample U Scream Ice Cream or Mrs. Yang's Egg Rolls or look at crafts, collectibles and see what various school and civic organizations have to offer.

They can even stop by the booth of Rep. Ben Baker, R-Neosho.

Or if they are feeling really adventurous, they can get a close up look at the local branch of an organization that has been banned by Facebook and Twitter for its promotion of violence and earned a prominent place in coverage of the presidential debate Tuesday when President Trump failed to denounce its activities.

For the first time, the annual Neosho Fall Festival, an event sponsored by the City of Neosho, will feature an Ozarks Mountain Proud Boys booth.

The City of Neosho appeared poised to tell the Proud Boys chapter it was not welcome at the festival, but City Attorney Jordan Paul told the Neosho City Council Thursday night that since the city did not have a policy barring groups like Proud Boys from participating, there was nothing that could be done.

The person whose name is listed with Ozark Mountain Proud Boys on the vendor list (a portion of which is captured in the accompanying screenshot) is Heath Haulman of Neosho

Bet money if the Church of Satan tried to get a booth they'd find a way to shut it down real fast.

Ben Baker probably supports them, and I seriously doubt Neosho would have any trouble keeping non-white terror organizations out of the fall festival.

Ben Baker probably invited them

BLM is more racist than most groups. Cause the chaos. For those who truly want equality I support you. Those who are spewing hate, burning cities, blocking roads and highways, and injuring people you deserve jail time.
